DWL Incorporated, a leading e-solutions company, today announced they have acquired Ottawa-based IPMeeting.com, a provider of Java-based web collaboration for self-help, application sharing and live discussions. Under the terms of the acquisition, DWL will fully integrate IPMeeting.com’s component-based collaboration solution into DWL UnifiTM, its core transactional e-business platform, to give customers fully personalized collaboration functionality to enhance customer service. "IPMeeting.com was identified as a very attractive acquisition target for DWL," said Justin LaFayette, president and CEO, DWL Incorporated. "Not only do we believe collaboration is a key piece of real-time e-business solutions, both companies share the same approach to how we develop and deliver technology, and also share the same vision on how to effectively evolve web infrastructure solutions to meet customers needs." The acquisition will broaden the DWL Unifi platform to include secure communication and collaboration, including whiteboard, chat, application sharing, web streaming and on-line presentation capabilities. With IPMeeting.com’s collaboration components easily integrated and customized to meet solution requirements, customers can offer high touch service offerings to the various audiences interacting in an organization’s on-line environment.
